Yesterday was the final day of our 1st round of the 21 Day Fix Extreme. Boy do I feel Strong! I never imagined I could actually lift weights throughout a workout, much less enjoy it. Does it work? Check out my results for yourself. Here are my results starting from September 2014 thru today. It has been a journey, and I am glad I am on it. Dedication, passion and support are very important. My husband and I decided 6 months ago that we needed to get healthier and back into our fit bodies. I started with Beachbody's Piyo, but really found my place with the 21 Day Fix. It gives you a good foundation to learn to eat healthier, portion your meals and do scheduled workouts with celebrity trainer Autumn Calabrese. I knew immediately that I had made the right choice. Before beginning the program my husband and I thought we ate fairly healthy. We did, from time to time but never thought about portions. Working out? Only really happened when "whether or time permitted". i.e.. when we made time.
What's the Difference between the 21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix Extreme?
Extreme is not dramatically different in the nutrition area. Some may see a lower calorie bracket then from the original, also some foods that were allowed on the original version are not allowed in extreme. Bye Bye waffles, chocolate chip and wine. (Its only 3 weeks) In the workout portion, you will use weights (heavy & light) or a resistance band in addition to. I got used to the weights and started to look forward to workouts with weights. My arms have definitely toned up and I am in need of moving up to heavier weights.
