21 Day Fix & Extreme Results

Yesterday was the final day of our 1st round of the 21 Day Fix Extreme. Boy do I feel Strong! I never imagined I could actually lift weights throughout a workout, much less enjoy it. Does it work? Check out my results for yourself. Here are my results starting from September 2014 thru today. It has been a journey, and I am glad I am on it. Dedication, passion and support are very important. My husband and I decided 6 months ago that we needed to get healthier and back into our fit bodies. I started with Beachbody's Piyo, but really found my place with the 21 Day Fix. It gives you a good foundation to learn to eat healthier, portion your meals and do scheduled workouts with celebrity trainer Autumn Calabrese. I knew immediately that I had made the right choice. Before beginning the program my husband and I thought we ate fairly healthy. We did, from time to time but never thought about portions. Working out? Only really happened when "whether or time permitted". i.e.. when we made time.

What's the Difference between the 21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix Extreme?

21 Day Fix is where I always recommend anyone who wants to loose weight, and get back into shape begin. The program has each day of the week scheduled for a workout. You will workout everyday, but will have lighter workouts like yoga or pilates rather then having a rest day. There is a modifier that is easy to follow if you need to take it a little bit easier to start off. I still use the modifier and is nothing to feel ashamed of. The portion containers are included with the program and really help anyone who wants to learn how to eat the right amount for their body and weight. (no more trying to keep up with others) There is a meal guide that will tell you how many of each container to eat or that you are allowed. For the first two weeks you do the same scheduled workouts, and the final week you do doubles. Everything is explained in the booklet that is included.

Extreme is not dramatically different in the nutrition area. Some may see a lower calorie bracket then from the original, also some foods that were allowed on the original version are not allowed in extreme. Bye Bye waffles, chocolate chip and wine. (Its only 3 weeks) In the workout portion, you will use weights (heavy & light) or a resistance band in addition to. I got used to the weights and started to look forward to workouts with weights. My arms have definitely toned up and I am in need of moving up to heavier weights.

Grilled Italian Chicken with roasted tomato sauce

Tonights Dinner was so delicious. It was Grilled Italian Chicken with roasted tomato sauce. -Bake 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts in oven at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes (until done) -Dice 4 medium size tomatoes, cut into chunks, drizzle olive oil, season with salt & pepper. Put in glass oven safe dish for 25 minutes. (or any oven safe dish is fine) -Chop 1 small onion, dice 1 jalepeno, 4 cloves garlic, chop 2 green onions (set aside until tomatoes are done) -Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray. Toss in onion,jalepno, garlic mixture and start cooking. -Add roasted tomato, cook for about 3 minutes until well blended. -Remove chicken from oven -Plate your chicken, then pour tomato sauce mixture over and Enjoy! -We added a spinach salad on the side, I was super full and pleased with how this dinner turned out. 21 Day Fix Extreme. Final Week

Today is Day 1, Week 3 on my first round of the 21 Day Fix Extreme. I was unsure of how my results were shaping, but goodness I just saw a before photo from about three weeks prior. Holy cow I am seeing the results! I know I am building muscle and toning up because I see the definition. Not much weight has been lost, but that is not my goal this time around. I want to be fit and toned. If you are looking for awesome results, this program is for you! I am loving it, and feel proud of myself when I am getting better at certain moves.
